Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or location entered in a search tool passes directly to the outside provider that operates it. That provider processes the query and supplies any result. We do not keep or log those search terms on our systems.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email sent to us may be retained so a response can be made. It remains within our organization unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
Our servers receive basic technical details when a page loads:
- Page-view dates and times
- Browser name and version
- Device type and operating system
- IP address assigned to the device
- Referring website, when available
- Pages viewed and time spent on them
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files placed on a device. They and analytics services help combine traffic information, such as popular pages and common exit points. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how parts of the site work.
What We Do With This Data
- Routing a search query to the selected partner
- Maintaining site availability and page speed
- Finding and repairing technical faults
- Measuring which pages are useful or need improvement
- Displaying advertising that may reflect user interests
No Criminal-Record Data on File
Wright County Criminal History does not maintain, assemble, or sell a database of personal criminal records. It publishes general directions to the Wright County Sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol CJIS repository, and Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry. It is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not compiled into consumer reports or third-party criminal files.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by the selected partner's privacy policy rather than this policy. The partner controls its retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before running a query.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to court portals, sheriff and state agency pages, legal-aid resources, or outside search services. Once a visitor leaves this site, the destination's privacy terms apply. Review them before providing personal information.
Advertising providers may use their own systems to follow activity across websites for targeted advertising. We do not operate that tracking.
Who Might See Your Data
We do not sell personal data. Limited information may be shared with:
- Analytics providers that measure traffic and performance
- Search partners that process submitted queries
- Advertising networks serving page ads
- Government or law-enforcement bodies acting under a valid legal order
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable security practices are used to protect collected information. No internet service can guarantee complete security, so a breach can never be ruled out.
Users Under 18
The service is intended for adults, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If such data is identified, a deletion request may be made.
Your Data Rights
Rights may vary with where a visitor lives. Missouri's Sunshine Law, Chapter 610 RSMo, and section 610.100 RSMo govern access to government records and the treatment of arrest records; they do not convert this private site into a public custodian. Subject to applicable law, a visitor may:
- Request access to personal information held about them
- Ask that inaccurate personal information be corrected
- Seek deletion where the law permits it
- Opt out of certain processing when that choice is available
Updates to This Policy
This policy may change. A revised version will appear here with a new effective date, so visitors should review the page periodically.
